This is Fine

Welcome to summer in Western Sydney. Heatwaves are common at this time of year, and with the effects of climate change they’re getting worse.

As a long-time player and facilitator of table-top roleplaying games and megagames, I was excited to have the opportunity to work with Melbourne Megagames on developing a game for the Powerhouse Museum for a program focused on heat and climate impacts in Western Sydney.

In This is Fine players work together as local councillors, researchers, state ministers and journalists to protect local communities from the immediate effects of heatwaves. The game is designed to provide the opportunity for players to consider the impact of heat, debate the appropriate allocation of state funding and research, and implement heat-mitigating solutions.
